I am really excited to get up in the air today. I wonder how much of my simulation experience will come into play. I have been flying the virtual skies for about 15 years, but to be able to feel what its like to be in control of the aircraft will be amazing.

In the air... I just finished my first flight lesson. Its was a lot different than I thought it would be. The flight started with a check of the aircraft and all systems followed by a bumpy takeoff. We flew for about 45 min around Wings Field and executed some left and right turns. It was a lot of fun but also a very easy experience. I thought I would be more nervous but really what I felt was confident. I felt like I was in control and it only made me want to learn more.
