I just finished my first flight lesson. Its was a lot different than I thought it would be. The flight started with a check of the aircraft and all systems followed by a bumpy takeoff. We flew for about 45 min around Wings Field and executed some left and right turns. It was a lot of fun but also a very easy experience. I thought I would be more nervous but really what I felt was confident. I felt like I was in control and it only made me want to learn more.
I am really excited to get up in the air today. I wonder how much of my simulation experience will come into play. I have been flying the virtual skies for about 15 years, but to be able to feel what its like to be in control of the aircraft will be amazing.
